India man sentenced to life imprisonment for killing insurance worker 4 years ago

Kathmandu. A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of an insurance worker in Great Noida.

A West Bengal court has sentenced Aftab Khan to life imprisonment for the murder and robbery of Raj Kumar, an insurance company employee, about 4 years ago. The court also directed the deceased’s wife Khushboo alias Jyoti to pay Rs 1,50,000 as compensation.

Raj Kumar was a resident of West Pratap Nagar in Mathura. He was living in a rented accommodation in Sadarpur Colony in Noida’s Sector 39 police station area. He worked as a private insurance company.

After being incommunicado for several days, Raj Kumar’s family members reached his rented room with the police. The room was locked from the outside. Raj Kumar’s body was found during a search by breaking the lock.

Lalit Kumar, the brother of the deceased, suspected murder and the police started investigating the case. During this time, the police had tracked the IMEI of the deceased’s mobile phone. During the search, it was found that the registration was registered in the name of the accused Aftab Bal Khan.

The police reached the location and arrested Khan and recovered the mobile phone and laptop of the deceased from him. During the police investigation, it was revealed that there was a dispute between Raj Kumar and Khan. The police investigation revealed that Khan had strangled Raj Kumar to death with a pillowcase. –Agency
