Kathmandu. The government has again increased the public transport fares. According to the Department of Transport Management, yesterday’s minister-level decision has decided to increase the fare of public transport by 5 percent.
The department has been adjusting the fare as per the automatic system based on the fluctuation in the price of fuel. This new fare will be applicable to long-distance vehicles (inter-provinces) plying through two or more provinces.
Similarly, the concerned provincial government or local level has to decide on the fare of vehicles plying on local routes.
