Kathmandu. IME Life Insurance Company Limited, as a part of its corporate social responsibility, collaborated with Matrix Eye Centre to provide free cataract surgery to 100 cataract patients in Janakpur due to financial constraints.
For the program, the company will pay Rs. The financial assistance of Rs. 6 lakhs has been provided, which is expected to directly benefit 100 cataract sufferers from rural areas of Dhanusha and Mahottari districts.
Matrika Eye Center has been providing eye services, cataract detection and surgery programs in various districts of the country since the past. IME Life Insurance’s social commitment combined with the experience and expertise of the center is expected to create a positive impact in the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IME Life Insurance Khilendra Poudel said that the company has been continuously contributing to the sector of health, education and community development as a part of its corporate social responsibility.
Likewise, Mr. Suraj Shrestha, President of Matrika Eye Center expressed gratitude for the support of IME Life Insurance and said that this program will bring positive change in the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged families of rural areas.
