IME Group donates Rs 100 million to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund

Kathmandu. IME Group has pledged to contribute Rs 10 crore to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the search, rescue, immediate relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.

Global IME Bank, IME Limited, IME Life Insurance, IGI Prudential Insurance, Chandragiri Hills, Dish Home, IME Motors and partners companies Ashok Leyland, IME Khalti, Swift Technology, MiDas Health, Mimart, Lumbini Cable Car, IME Foundation and others will be donating to the bank.

Similarly, the employees of IME Group companies will also provide 1 day’s salary.

Similarly, IME has provided free remittance facility to send aid money from all over the world to Nepal and has also made arrangements to deposit the amount directly into the government’s fund free of cost through Khalti Y IME Mobile Wallet. It has also pledged to provide more relief and kind assistance in coordination with IME Foundation.

IME Group, as part of its corporate social responsibility, aims to support in the search for the missing in unimaginable disasters, treatment of the injured, food for the affected and reconstruction of damaged structures.

“We also express our heartfelt gratitude to the security personnel, volunteers, local communities and concerned agencies who have been working round the clock in rescue, relief and rehabilitation at this sensitive time,” the statement reads.

In the past, IME Group has been at the forefront of providing financial, physical and humanitarian assistance during the times of disasters like floods, landslides, inundation, earthquake and pandemic.
