Kathmandu. A meeting of the Council of Ministers has declared Ilam district as disaster-hit zone.
According to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act, 2074 BS, it has been decided to declare Ilam a crisis-hit zone for three months.
Ilam district has suffered the highest number TAG_OPEN_div_3 of human casualties due to landslides and floods triggered by heavy rainfall last week. Landslides and floods have killed 39 people in Ilam. 26 people were injured.
