Kathmandu. The Industrial Enterprises Development Corporation (IEDI), Government of Nepal, has selected ICT Foundation Nepal (IFN) to implement the Business Incubation Service (BIS) Operation and Management Program.
IFN will support more than 50 early-stage startups centered in Kathmandu valley of Bagmati Province and Itahari of Koshi Province by conducting a digital and IT-enabled startup incubation program.
The program will run from March to June 2026 on a hybrid model. Startups participating in the program will receive one-to-one mentorship, capacity building, business development and validation support, and investor readiness preparation from experts.
According to the organizers, this incubation initiative aims to expand entrepreneurship development beyond Kathmandu as well. The program aims to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem, especially by involving entrepreneurs in sectors that have historically underserved.
The selected startups through the program will get hands-on contact with industry experts, hands-on training, and networking opportunities. It is believed that it will help them refine their business model, increase their market presence and prepare for investments.
In addition, high-performing startups will receive seed investment support and will be provided access to national-level platforms such as ICT Awards, Startup & Idea Fest, National Conclaves and AI Conferences.
ICT Foundation Nepal has been contributing to the promotion of regional innovation through programs like Digital Karnali Conclave and Digital Madhesh Conclave in the past.
