Kathmandu. TAG_OPEN_span_17 Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited has distributed dividends at an average rate of 18.61 per cent to its shareholders in the last five financial years}. The bank has paid a total dividend of 93.07 per cent during the review period, with the cash dividend share being much stronger than the bonus shares.
The bank has distributed a total cash dividend of 76.57 per cent over the five-year period, with an annual average of 15.31 per cent}. Similarly, during the same period, the bank has issued only 16.50 per cent bonus shares, with an annualized average of 3.30 per cent{{TAG_OPEN_span_12}. The bank seems to have continued its strategy of giving cash returns directly to the shareholders rather than capital increase.
Looking at the statistics of the financial year TAG_OPEN_span_10, the bank has distributed 19 percent cash dividend in the financial year 2081/82 {{TAG_OPEN_span_9}. Earlier, in the financial year 2080/81, the bank had given a total dividend of 25.50 percent, including 6.50 percent bonus and 19 percent cash, which is the highest return in the last five years}.
Similarly, in the FY 2079/80, the bank had given a cash dividend of 19.00 percent and in the FY 2078/79 it had given only 16.51 percent cash dividend }.
