Kathmandu. Non-life insurer for the current fiscal year 2082. In the 11 months of 2018-19, it has brought in more than Rs 45.58 billion.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, the current fiscal year 2082. Non-life insurers have collected a total premium of Rs 45.58 billion till mid-May 2018. Among them, 14 non-life insurers and four micro life insurers have contributed Rs 13.78 billion towards motor insurance.
The second largest business of companies is seen in property insurance. During the review period, the companies have collected Rs 10.77 billion in property insurance premium.
Similarly, a third of the business companies have brought in engineering and contract risk insurance. During the review period, the companies collected Rs 8.63 billion in total insurance premiums.
The company collected Rs 4.55 billion in miscellaneous insurance, Rs 2.80 billion in marine insurance, Rs 2.28 billion in air insurance, Rs 1.53 billion in agriculture and crop insurance and Rs 1.20 billion in micro insurance.
What is the market share?
As of mid-June of the current fiscal year, motor insurance has the highest share of 30.25 percent of the total business of the companies.
Similarly, in total trade, 23.63 percent was related to property, 18.94 percent to engineering and contract risk, 10 percent to miscellaneous, 6.15 percent to marine, 5.01 percent to aviation, 3.37 percent to agriculture and crops and 2.65 percent to micro sector.
