Kathmandu. Himalayan Bullion Company has launched a mobile app ‘HBC App’ that allows you to buy real silver in installments. Through the app, customers can buy silver coins and bars by paying the amount and time that suits them. The company, which was founded in 2000, has made the app available for both Android and iOS users.
According to the company, customers will be able to see the daily price of silver and set a purchase target after opening an account in the app and completing the customer identification process. Coins of 10, 20, 50 and 100 grams and silver bars weighing 500 grams or more can be purchased. Customers can pay the amount equivalent to 1 gram of silver, 5 percent of the total value or the entire amount in one go.
The selected silver will be kept safe in the vault of the company until the entire amount is paid. The vault fee is free of cost on the occasion of the launch of the app. After full payment, customers will be able to book an appointment to collect silver.
The company has also announced that it will provide personal accident insurance of up to Rs 10 lakh to the customers of the app. This facility, which is available in collaboration between Sallyco Insurance and HBC, will be applicable as per the terms and conditions of the policy.
Similarly, every purchase completed through the app will be considered as an entry and a lucky draw will be held by the company. One winner who is selected through the lottery will receive a Tesla Model III electric car. The company will release the eligibility, deadline and detailed conditions for the selection of the winner.
According to the company, the HBC app is not a silver trading or investment scheme but a means to buy physical silver. Customers will be able to get real silver after full payment for the products purchased through the app. There is also a provision to sell silver according to the repurchase rate published by the company after three days of collection.
