KATHMANDU: The impact of Cyclone Arnab, which developed in the Bay of Bengal, will gradually weaken from Saturday afternoon, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Light rain is likely to occur in few places of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces in the afternoon. Heavy rain and snowfall are likely at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces.
In the afternoon, there will be mostly cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces. In the far-western region, it will be generally cloudy.
Light rain or thunder likely to occur at many places of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces, at some places of Gandaki Province, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, moderate rain is taking place in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces while light rainfall is taking place at some places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
On Saturday night, there will be cloudy weather across the country, but on Sunday it will be partly cloudy. According to the Division, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places of the mountainous and hilly areas of the country.
