Health Ministry directs employees not to take leave except in emergency

Kathmandu. In view of the ongoing search, rescue and night work in the aftermath of the Rasuwa floods, the Ministry of Health and Food and Hygiene has directed the employees not to take leave except in emergency situations until the disaster is managed.

Issuing a notice, the ministry has issued this directive to the employees working in the ministry and the departments under the ministry, hospitals, academies, and other bodies. The ministry has also directed the employees to be present in the office even on public holidays.

Here are the instructions

}

  • Not to approve leave and work except for special reasons and essential works to all the employees of this Ministry and its subordinate÷s who can be deputed in disaster management.
  • Chiefs, focal persons and responsible officials of the concerned agencies designated in connection with search, rescue and treatment to be present in the office even on holidays. To be ready for the delivery of necessary services to other employees.
  • The health workers working in the hospital should make necessary arrangements for the treatment of the flood and landslide affected people even on public holidays.TAG_OPEN_li_13

  • To play a responsible role in providing treatment and assistance to the disaster-affected areas.
