There is a big threat to most users right now. This stems from two weaknesses. Which Google has classified as a ‘zero-day’ vulnerability. Hackers can exploit these vulnerabilities to target Chrome browser users.

Recognizing the threat, Chrome has issued an emergency security update advising users to update their browser immediately, Forbes reported. After the update, users can protect their devices and data.

Not much information about the risk has been disclosed yet. The company believes that until most users fix browser vulnerabilities through the latest updates, their details will be limited to prevent hackers from exploiting them. These vulnerabilities are tracked as CVE-2026-3909 and CEV-2026-3910.

Internet users rely on browsers to find information. Every smartphone and PC user has a browser. Chrome has the highest market share. That’s why hackers target browsers to easily access user details.

Omdia’s 2025 report was prepared for Palo Alto Networks. According to the report, 95 percent of organizations faced cybersecurity threats in one year. It originated from the employee’s computer.

Regarding browser hacking, cyber experts say that hackers now directly target browsers. This includes session hijacking and advanced phishing attacks using stolen tokens. Which can also bypass the long-standing multi-factor authentication. –Agency
