Govt tells Nepalis not to leave Iran as soon as possible

Kathmandu. The government has advised Nepali nationals in Iran to return home as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advisory today advising people to leave Iran as soon as possible. In view of the recent developments in Iran amid the escalating tension with the United States, the Ministry has advised Nepali nationals to postpone their travel plans to Iran until the situation returns to normal. “Nepali nationals currently living or working in Iran are advised to leave the country as soon as possible, through any means available,” the advisory said.

The Ministry has also urged Nepali nationals in Iran to keep their travel documents such as passport and identity card ready for emergency rescue. “Please also refer to the Ministry’s Travel Advisory dated January 13 in this regard,” the ministry said.
