Kathmandu. Directive has been issued to distribute 10 percent shares to the affected locals of the hydropower project.
The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has given this directive. The committee has directed the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and the Securities Board of Nepal to distribute 10 percent share to the locals affected by the hydropower project.
According to the Securities Registration and Issue Regulations, the committee has directed the hydropower project to distribute shares at face value i.e. Rs 100. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle was also present in the meeting.
