Global IME Bank Limited has introduced the facility of opening a bank account in collaboration with Nagarik App. Based on the national identity card, the Nepali citizens can open their personal savings account by scanning the QR code on the bank’s website through the app. Users of the Nagarik app will be able to open an account in Global IME Bank by clicking on the QR code mentioned in the mentioned link. This service has been launched for the first time in Nepal and has made it easier for the general public to open a bank account. Under this app, citizens who are 18 years of age and above with a national identity card can open an account in Global IME Bank online.
For this, the bank will securely get the personal details required for the account with the prior consent of the person associated with the Nagarik app. This will eliminate the hassle of re-entering personal details and ensure the privacy and security of customers’ information.
In order to activate the account opened through Nagarik App, the customer will have to visit the nearest branch office or verify through Video KYC. With this launch, Global IME Bank has expanded its service in a secure, simple and reliable digital banking service by utilizing the government digital infrastructure.
The bank believes that the collaboration with Nagarik App will make the account opening process easier, transparent, technology-friendly and provide a modern banking experience.
