Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has introduced new banknotes of Rs 500 denomination in the local market.
The central bank has issued a notice number of Rs 500 in the previous size and color. The new banknotes from J38-000001 to 683-999999 have been introduced with the promise that they will get Rs. 500 100 immediately from the Nepal Rastra Bank if they come to pay the money guaranteed by the Government of Nepal.
What are the features?
at the front of the note
- The note has a water stamp of Mount Everest on the left and a water stamp of Laligurans on the right. In the lower section, the series ‘B.S. 2082’ is written. Also, on the left side of the watermark there are two black dots to detect the rate of the note by touching people with different abilities (visually impaired).
- On the right side of Mount Everest, there is a picture of Kuber in an oval shape that looks golden when viewed directly and green when looked downwards.
- Governor Prof. Dr. It is signed by Bishwanath Poudel.
- note has a 3.5mm wide straight-looking red and green security thread when tilted.

- The bottom of the note reads “Rupees Five Hundred” in English.
