Floods and landslides: Which company has how much claim? How much has been paid so far? (with list)

Kathmandu. Insurance companies have so far claimed Rs 4.19 billion for floods and landslides caused by the monsoon on October 3.

As per the preliminary data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA), 13 non-life insurance companies and two micro non-life insurance companies have to pay Rs 4.19 billion for 799 claims till date. Out of this, the companies have paid only Rs 19.63 crore so far.

According to the data, Shikhar Insurance is the highest claim payment company. The company has to pay Rs 64.3 crore for 60 claims and has paid Rs 9.38 crore for 8 claims so far.

Similarly, United Ajo’s Insurance is the second highest claim payment. So far, the company has to pay Rs 60.62 crore for 34 claims and Rs 3.55 crore for one claim.

Siddhartha Premier Insurance is the third largest claim payment company. The company has to pay Rs 54.94 crore for 70 claims so far. So far, the company has paid Rs 2.75 crore for 15 claims.

Similarly, NLG Insurance has claimed the highest amount. The company has so far paid Rs 78.18 crore for 51 claims and has paid only Rs 31.90 million for three claims.
