Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 7.30 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The amount is to be invested in the fixed deposits of the banks. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged banks to offer interest rates by 7 pm on May 7.
Out of the total paid, NRB will invest Rs 5.84 billion in commercial banks, Rs 1.09 billion in national level development banks and Rs 365 million in fixed deposits in national level finance companies.
According to the central bank, this investment will be for 366 days from May 11, 2026 to May 11, 2027.
