Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 24.18 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The central bank will invest Rs 24.18 billion in fixed deposits of banks. For this, the central bank has called on the banks to propose the interest rate by 12 midnight on August 3.
Out of the total amount, NRB will invest Rs 19.35 billion in commercial banks, Rs 3.62 billion in national level development banks and Rs 1.20 billion in fixed deposits in national level finance companies.
According to the central bank, this investment will be for 366 days from August 12, 2026 to August 12, 2027.
