Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 10 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The amount is to be invested in the fixed deposits of the banks. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged banks to offer interest rates by 7 pm on April 22.
Out of the total amount, NRB will invest Rs 8 billion in commercial banks, Rs 1.50 billion in national level development banks and Rs 500 million in national level finance companies.
According to the central bank, this investment will be for 366 days from April 28, 2026 to April 28, 2027.
