Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to invest Rs 9.69 billion in fixed deposits of banks.
The central bank will invest Rs 9.69 billion in fixed deposits of the banks. For this, the central bank has called on the banks to propose the interest rate by 12 midnight on June 3.
Out of the total amount, the central bank will invest Rs 7.75 billion in commercial banks, Rs 1.45 billion in national level development banks and Rs 484.9 million in national level finance companies.
According to the central bank, this investment will be for 368 days from June 18, 2026 to June 20, 2027.
