Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance has said that there has been no discussion in the Ministry regarding the age of old age allowance.
The Finance Ministry has issued a clarification on social media saying that the government is raising the age limit for the distribution of old age allowance to 75 years in order to control the increasing expenditure on the state exchequer.
Issuing a notice on Friday, the ministry said, “There is no truth in the comments about the age of getting old age allowance. We would like to clarify that the Ministry and the honorable gentleman have not even held any discussion in this regard.
