Kathmandu. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has clarified the issue of salary hike of civil servants.
At a press conference organized at the Ministry of Finance today, Finance Minister Wagle clarified about the salary hike of the employees. “The salary of civil servants has been increased by 21 percent through the budget for the coming fiscal year. Finance Minister Wagle also said that 10 percent of the base salary has been increased while another 10 percent has been increased to be linked to performance. “We have also continued the dearness allowance of Rs 5,000 that has been given since the past. ’
Although the salary of all the employees has been increased in lump sum this year, Finance Minister Wagle said that it would be improved in the coming years so that it can be measured on the basis of performance. “The incentive allowance will be provided on the basis of actual performance,” he said.
