Kathmandu. Meta’s social networks Facebook, Instagram and Messenger stopped working on Friday evening. According to users, this problem was seen at around 7:30 pm.
According to the information available online, users are facing technical problems not only in Nepal but in most parts of the world. Most of the people are facing problems of logging out or loading only old posts in the Facebook page feed.
Users are also facing problems with messages and video calls in Messenger apps.
For other Meta services, such as WhatsApp, Meta used shared systems behind the scenes, but remained largely online. There are also problems with some products such as Facebook, Messenger and Instagram’s website.
Users have been told that they are not logged in when they try to log in again after being automatically logged out. When trying to login, they are shown an error message saying “Unexpected error occurred”.
The main Facebook website also showed a similar error. Visitors were told “something went wrong” and the company was “working on it and we will fix it as soon as possible”.
However, Meta has not officially revealed any information about this.
