Kathmandu. Every 24 hours, 89 new people around the world are joining the super-rich club.
Individuals with assets of more than $30 million are included in the super-rich club. The number of such super-rich people has increased by 1,62,191 in the last 5 years.
According to Knight Frank’s Wealth Report 2026, the number was 551,435 in 2021. That has increased to 713,626 by 2026.
According to the report, Indonesia will see the largest increase in the number of wealthy people by 82% in the next 8 years. Saudi Arabia and Poland are projected to see this increase at 63%. In Vietnam, new property centers are also emerging with a 59% increase.
This is also encouraging in neighbouring India. The number of such super-rich people has increased from about 12,000 in 2021 to 19,877 in 2026. This is an increase of 63 percent. This number is expected to increase by another 27 percent to 25,217 by 2031. India is currently third in the world with 207 billionaires.
The share of the world’s super-rich has increased from 33 percent in 2021 to 35 percent in 2026. This share is projected to reach 41 percent by 2031. Only 41 percent of all new super-rich created in the last four years are Americans.
There are 3,110 billionaires in the world. The Asia Pacific region is in the first place with 1,116 billionaires. This region has overtaken North America. There are 965 billionaires there.
Saudi Arabia will see the fastest increase in the number of billionaires in the next five years, at 183 percent. It will be followed by Poland at 123 percent and Sweden at 81 percent. – Agency
