Kathmandu. Electronic presence has been made mandatory for government employees.
The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Administration has issued a circular today directing all ministries, departments, offices and bodies to mandatorily implement the electronic attendance system for recording the attendance of government employees at the local level. In case of non-implementation of this provision, the ministry has directed to make arrangements for the daily attendance (arrival and departure) details of the employees through the electronic attendance system.
The Ministry has also requested the government to print and authenticate the attendance details of every 15 days and keep the record at the office.
