Kathmandu. The government has directed the government to publish and disseminate government information only through the government media.
The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Wednesday issued a circular to all ministries, commissions and secretariats, offices of chief ministers of all provinces and local levels. Directives have been issued to make themselves and their subordinate bodies responsible for maintaining austerity in government expenditure, uniformity and transparency in advertisement and information publication and dissemination of advertisements and information and promotion of government-owned media houses.

- } While publishing and disseminating information including public procurement from public bodies through media, all public bodies working by the Government of Nepal, Provincial Government, Local Government and their subordinate bodies and public funds shall make arrangements to publish and broadcast their information only in the government and government-owned media such as Gorkhapatra Corporation, Radio Nepal and Nepal Television.
- While making payment for the works published and broadcast through the mentioned procedure, it shall be deposited directly from the government or public fund into the fund of the concerned publishing and broadcasting institution.
The rate of payment and the discount amount must be officially approved by the concerned media while making such payment.TAG_OPEN_li_11
