Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has decided to contribute Rs 100 million to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund in view of the devastating floods in Rasuwa.
Issuing a press release today, the authority decided to donate the amount for rescue and relief in the flood-affected areas. “The Insurance Authority has decided to donate Rs 100 million to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund to provide relief to the people of the flood-affected areas and to meet the emergency needs,” the statement said. ’
The NRA is always committed to social responsibility not only as a regulatory body but also as a regulatory body. “The Authority has expressed its commitment to join hands to collect the details of the damage caused to human and physical infrastructure due to the floods and to make the payment of insurance claims fast, quick and easy,” the statement reads, “The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) requests all the insurance stakeholders to contribute from their respective places to ease the lives of the general public in the flood-affected areas and to make the affected families feel relief in this hour of crisis.” It is expected that peace, security and reconstruction works will be carried out at the earliest in all the flood-affected areas. ’
The floods that occurred in the Nuwakot area of Rasuwa on August 26 have caused irreparable loss of life and property. The Insurance Authority has expressed deep sorrow over the devastating damage caused by the floods especially in Rasuwa and Trishuli areas. Expressing deep condolences to the families of the victims in this hour of disaster, the Authority has taken this decision with the aim of helping in their immediate rescue, relief and rehabilitation work.
