Kathmandu. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the election in Kathmandu constituency no 1 and 8. Ranju Darshana Neupane of Rastriya Janata Party (RSS) has been elected from Kathmandu-1. She defeated Prabal Thapa of Nepali Congress by a huge margin. She garnered 13,591 votes. His nearest rival Rabindra Mishra of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) came out second with 5,696 votes and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Rabindra Mishra got 3,507 votes.
Biraj Bhakta Shrestha of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) has won from Kathmandu-8. Biraj defeated Suman Sayami of NCP. Biraj Bhakta Shrestha got 9,319 votes. Suman Sayami of NCP got 1,222 votes while Sapana Rajbhandari of Nepali Congress came third with 1,054 votes.
Although the counting of votes in both the constituencies has been completed, the EC is yet to make a formal announcement.
