Kathmandu. The government has announced the issuance of ‘Kisan Credit Card’ to ensure access to affordable finance to farmers.
The government is going to bring this scheme in the policy and program of the coming fiscal year to provide relief to the farmers. President Ram Chandra Poudel is presenting the policies and programmes in the joint session of the federal parliament today.
The government has put forward a scheme for farmer listing and distribution of identity cards to issue Kisan Credit Cards. The government believes that this card will make it easier for farmers to access finance.
The government has given priority to contract farming, cooperative farming and the issuance of agricultural bonds.
