CPN-UML, Nepal Pariwar Dal sign four-point agreement

Kathmandu. The CPN-UML and the Nepal Pariwar Dal have reached a four-point agreement in connection with the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and House of Representatives scheduled for March 4.

The Nepal Pariwar Dal will support the CPN-UML candidate in the House of Representatives election as per the agreement reached for nationality, development, democracy, peace and protection of the constitution. In return, the CPN-UML will represent the Nepal Pariwar Dal in the Federal Parliament and Provincial Assemblies at an appropriate time.

As per the agreement, Nepal Pariwar Dal will have an independent political entity outside the parliament while the family party will be affiliated to the CPN-UML’s parliamentary party. The agreement calls upon all patriotic, progressive and democratic forces to unite to establish the CPN-UML as a national power to fulfill the national aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’.

The issues not mentioned in the MoU will be settled through mutual discussion and consensus. CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Pariwar Dal Chairman and former Minister Eknath Dhakal signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments.

Dhakal, General Secretary Prakash Babu Thapa, lawmaker Milan Rajbanshi and joint general secretary Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada were present at the signing ceremony held at Oli’s residence in Gundu. Roop Singh Bhandari and Manoj Kumar Surkheti were present on the occasion.

Nepal Pariwar Dal has been continuously collaborating with the CPN-UML since 2074 BS.
