Kathmandu. In the US, a new variant of the coronavirus is spreading rapidly.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in early March, a new variant of corona, NB.1.8.1, was detected in international passengers arriving at america’s main airports. Corona infection has now started spreading in California, Washington, Virginia and New York.
According to CBS News, initially the new variant of corona was seen in China and some countries of Asia. At present, the number of corona infections is increasing in India, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
According to CDC data, an average of 350 people died each week from corona infection in the United States in April. “This is a lot of casualties,” the CDC said, “but infections are beginning to decline.”
