Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: CNI Youth Entrepreneurs’ Forum, the youth wing of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), organized a high-level interaction on “Analysis of the Economic and Industrial Situation of Nepal” in Kathmandu. The event brought together young business leaders, policy experts, and industry leaders to analyse the structural challenges and development prospects of the Nepali economy. The meeting was attended by senior experts who have played an important role in shaping the financial and legal framework of Nepal.
The panelists included Anil Kumar Sinha, former Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, and Rameshwor Prasad Khanal, former Finance Minister. The program was facilitated by Vice President of CNIEF Nida Doon Malla and other dignitaries including President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Birendra Raj Pandey.
On the occasion, Mr. Manish Shrestha, President of CNIEF, stressed on the need of properly analyzing the current economic situation. In order to chart a course for the future, we must first analyze our present situation. The forum is always committed to bridging the energy gap between experienced policy makers and young entrepreneurs, he added.
Complexities of federal financial administration, legal obstacles in industrial development and changes taking place in Nepal’s commerce sector were discussed during the discussions. During the Q&A session, representatives from various sectors including manufacturing, technology and services asked the panelists about liquidity, policy stability and investment climate.
