Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has urged the industries not to cut off power lines until the dispute related to rent in the industrial area is finally resolved. The Supreme Court (SC) has ruled that the new fare hike by the Industrial Area Management Limited (IASML) will be effective from July 8, 2089.

At a time when the industrialists have already accepted the decision, the Industrial Area Management Limited has gone to the Supreme Court to review the Supreme Court’s decision. Therefore, the CNI has requested not to disconnect the power lines in any of the industries within the industrial area and to reconnect the industries that have been cut off until the dispute is finally settled by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

Similarly, as per the Supreme Court’s decision, some industries have already paid the rent and other industrialists are also trying to pay the rent, but the deadline for payment of rent has been received for 7 days.

The Confederation has urged all sides concerned to help and facilitate the uninterrupted operation of the manufacturing industries at a time when there is a need to encourage and protect the manufacturing industries to make the overall economy dynamic.
