Kathmandu. Citizens Bank International has provided Braille educational materials to visually impaired students of Bardiya under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
KATHMANDU: The Bank Limited has provided educational materials to the visually impaired students of Nepal National Secondary School at Bansgadhi Municipality-5, Lumbini Province. The financial assistance was provided through the Bank’s Badhaiyatal branch.
Established in 2045 BS, there are around 1,200 students enrolled in the school. Among them, 20 visually impaired students have been studying with the help of Braille.
The bank has provided assistance to the students in view of the difficulties faced by the students in studying due to lack of required Braille materials in the school.
In the program, the bank provided quality Braille paper, A-grade Braille stylus, A-grade intermediate braille slate, school bag and computer with screen reader software to visually impaired students.
According to the bank, the bank will be carrying out various programs in the coming days with the objective of bringing positive changes in the social, economic, cultural and educational sectors under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
