Kathmandu. Citizens Bank International Limited has completed 19 years of its establishment and entered into its 20th year. The bank was established on April 19, 2008 as the 20th commercial bank and celebrated its 19th anniversary with various social and creative programs.
In the last 19 years of its establishment, the bank has been able to serve more than 2 million 11 thousand customers across the country. The bank has been providing its services through 200 branches in all seven provinces.
On the occasion of its anniversary, the bank organized morning rally in all seven provinces this morning. The rally attended by 946 employees is expected to increase financial literacy among the public.
Likewise, the bank has organized blood donation programs from 20 branches of all seven provinces in collaboration with Nepal Red Cross Society in line with its slogan ‘Blood donation is life-donation’. Of them, 550 people donated blood.
Similarly, free health camps have been organized at 9 different branches (Diktel, Temal, Lambagar, Belatari, Sau Farsatikar, Dharapani, Beni, Jufal and Amargadhi) in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces with the objective of providing health services to the people of rural areas. Around 500 people received health check-up and free medicines in the camp.
According to the bank, the bank has collected deposit of Rs 216 billion and mobilized Rs 177 billion in loan till the third quarter of the current FY. The bank at present has been providing its services through a network of 61 branches, 169 ATMs, 3 extension counters and 42 branchless banking services.
