Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Rukesh Ranjit has been elected to the House of Representatives from Bhaktapur-1.
He won the election by defeating the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) candidate with a huge majority. Ranjit garnered a total of 33,436 votes. He defeated his nearest rival Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) candidate Prem Suwal by 5,289 votes.
Bhaktapur: The Workers and Peasants Party (RPP) has ended its unbeaten streak in the elections to the House of Representatives and Municipalities in Bhaktapur constituency-1 after the Panchayat era.
Ranjit has been active not only in politics but also in the field of social service in Bhaktapur. He is also the president of the Blood Donor Association Bhaktapur.
