Kathmandu. Citizen Life Insurance Company for the fiscal year 2082. The company has published its unrevised financial statements for the second quarter of 2018.
According to the financial report, the company has earned a net profit of Rs 23.15 crore in the first six months of the current FY. Previous fiscal year 2081. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 23.09 crore in the year ended December 1982. The company’s net profit increased by 0.24 percent in the review year compared to the previous year.
During the review period, the company had a share premium of Rs 44.96 crore, a catastrophe fund of Rs 25.35 crore, a retained earnings of Rs 35.65 crore and other equity of Rs 26.63 crore. As of mid-July of the previous year, the company had invested Rs 44.96 crore in share premium, Rs 230.3 million in catastrophe fund, Rs 1.15 billion in retained earnings and Rs 368.9 million in other equity.
As of mid-January of the current FY, the company’s life insurance fund stood at Rs 22.81 billion. In the same period of the previous year, the life insurance fund was Rs 16.85 billion. The size of the life insurance fund of the company increased by 35.39 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
The company has earned Rs 4.14 billion in total insurance premiums in the review period. The company had earned Rs 3.38 billion in total insurance premiums during the same period. Compared to the previous year, the company’s total premium has increased by 22.52 percent.
The company has earned Rs 3.88 billion in net insurance premium till mid-January of the current FY. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 3.18 billion in the same period last year. Compared to the previous year, the company’s net premium has increased by 22.22 percent.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) has decreased to Rs 9.26 from Rs 5 billion. The EPS was Rs 11.73 a year ago. The company has a P/E ratio of 51.18 times and the net worth per share is Rs 126.52.
