Kathmandu. The Citizen Investment Fund (CIT) has contributed Rs 5.1 million to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund set up by the Government of Nepal as part of its corporate social responsibility to support the reconstruction, economic reconstruction and relief of physical structures damaged during the agitations of September 7 and 24.
Tulsi Prasad Ghimire, chairman of the Citizen Investment Trust (CIT), handed over the cheque to Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal at the Ministry of Finance today. On the occasion, Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanashyam Upadhyaya, Joint Secretary Uttar Kumar Khatri and Chief Executive Officer of CIT Parbat Kumar Karki were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Khanal thanked CIT for its contribution to the Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund.
With this amount, Rs 14.07 crore has been deposited in the fund till date, according to the Ministry.
