Kathmandu. Global information services company Experian has launched a new insurance marketplace app directly inside ChatGPT. This app allows users to easily compare car insurance through conversation and choose the right coverage for their needs.
The initiative will provide insurance services to millions of OpenAI users. Using the new app, customers will be able to compare potential premium rates from more than 37 top-rated insurance companies simultaneously. They will also receive customized recommendations based on their needs by reviewing various coverage options.
One of the key features of the app is the real-time Q&A feature. Users can ask questions directly and get instant answers. The company hopes to make the insurance selection process easy and transparent.
“With ChatGPT available in the insurance marketplace, customers can naturally explore their options,” said Daisy E, President of Experian Consumer Services. He says that if people can choose the right policy, many can save more than $1,000 a year.
According to Experian, this is part of their larger artificial intelligence (AI) strategy. The company wants to simplify financial decisions by using interactive technology. In addition, their goal is to improve the customer experience.
Meanwhile, stock prices of some of the biggest insurance brokers in the United States have fallen since the announcement. Investors fear the launch of AI-powered insurance apps on major tech platforms could put pressure on traditional brokers’ businesses.
According to experts, if conversational AI technology can provide quick and personalized quotes and recommendations, the role of traditional brokers in private insurance sectors like auto and home insurance could diminish. However, in their view, there will be intermediaries created in the short term. In the long run, there is a possibility of major changes in the insurance distribution system. –Agency
