Kathmandu. The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority of Bangladesh (IDRA) has published a new schedule for insurance companies to save energy and electricity. The decision was taken in accordance with the revised Office Schedule announced by the Bangladesh government.
The IDRA has sent a letter to insurance companies on Sunday in response to the directive sent by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh. As per the new schedule, the life and non-life insurance companies will remain open from 9 am to 4 pm. There will be weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday.
This schedule will remain in effect until further notice, the IDRA said.
Earlier on Saturday, the Ministry of Public Administration had issued a gazette notice establishing a new schedule for all government and private offices in Bangladesh as per the decision of the Council of Ministers. As per the notice, all the offices will remain open from 9 am to 4 pm from Sunday until further notice. However, emergency services will remain outside the scope of this new office schedule. –Agency
