Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balendra Shah has spent more than Rs 14 lakh on the elections.
Jhapa Region No. Balen, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Constituency 5 with a huge margin, has submitted his details to the Election Office that he spent Rs 1,417,289 on the election. He has spent the highest amount of Rs 5.80 lakh on the ward-level publicity program (15 days door-to-door).
According to the details, Balen spent Rs 2,93,800 on renting two vehicles including fuel for 15 days. Balen spent Rs 35,000 for airfare, Rs 28,970 for lunch for the voter training programme and Rs 49,850 for printing of sample ballot papers.
Likewise, Balen spent Rs 120,000 on water for two months, Rs 22,820 for stationery, Rs 157,041 for printing of flags and batches, Rs 119,808 for banners and stickers and Rs 10,000 for registration of nominations.
