Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Balen Shah has resigned from the post of Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City on Sunday.
Balen has resigned from the post of mayor effective from January 14. He submitted his resignation to Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol.
Balen is resigning from the post of mayor and is contesting the House of Representatives election on March 4. He is contesting from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
He is going to the RSP office today itself to discuss the issue. He had joined the RSP a few days ago. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has made him a senior leader and has proposed him as the next prime minister.
