Kathmandu. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited (SALICO) has organized an awareness program on agriculture, livestock and disaster insurance in Udayapur district.
The main objective of the program was to make farmers aware of the measures to reduce the risk of disaster by increasing the scope of agriculture and livestock insurance at the local level.
The program was successfully organized at the meeting hall of Rautamai Rural Municipality Ward No. 7 on January 26 with the active presence of local people’s representatives, farmers and company representatives.
During the discussion, the participants were informed about the insurance claim process, the risks covered by the insurance and the financial security it can provide to the farmers. The company believes that such programs will help connect farmers in rural areas with modern insurance systems.
