KATHMANDU: Ather Nepal has opened its 16th Experience Center in Birendranagar, Surkhet with an aim to expand the reach of electric vehicles in Karnali Province. The experience center established at Airport Chowk, Birendranagar Municipality-12 has come into operation from Monday.
With the new experience center, customers of Surkhet and Karnali region will be able to get information about Ather electric scooters, their technology, product information, test vehicles and after-sales services at the local level.
The inauguration program held in Surkhet was presided over by Somraj Thapa, Chairman of Swarnim Business Concern. Harsha Bikram Khadka, President of Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the chief guest of the program.
The program was also attended by Vice-President of NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal and then President of Karnali Automobiles Association, Bhadra Bhandari, former President of Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry Laxman Kandel, former senior Vice President of NADA Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ganesh Kumar Basnet, industrialists, businessmen, representatives of automobile sector, customers, media persons and well-wishers.
In the new center, you can get information about the Ather 450 series and Rizta series electric scooters and test rides. According to the company, the 450 series has given priority to performance, technology and practicality of daily use. Its latest models include features like ‘Magic Twist’, ‘Infinite Cruise’ and ‘Voice Interaction’.
The company says that the ‘Magic Twist’ feature will help reduce the speed of the scooter by using the accelerator grip. Similarly, ‘Infinite Cruise’ will help to maintain a certain speed and ‘Voice Interaction’ will help in giving voice commands for the convenience available.
Similarly, the Ather Rizta is an electric scooter designed for family use. The company has taken into account the need for long seats, comfortable design and daily family use.
With the increase in the use of electric vehicles, priority has also been given to the expansion of the service and charging network to make the after-sales service and charging facilities easier for the customers. According to the company, there are more than 10 authorized service centers and more than 50 fast charging points across the country.
According to the terms applicable under the ‘Ather Atseventy’ battery warranty, the battery is guaranteed for eight years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first. If the battery health is less than 70 percent, the battery replacement facility will also be available as per the applicable conditions.
On the occasion of the opening of the new experience center in Surkhet, the company has also announced a special ‘opening scheme’ till September 11. Under the scheme, there will be at-seven battery warranty on cash purchases, zero percent interest rate facility on purchase through finance and an additional eight thousand rupees valuation facility will be provided on the purchase of a new Ather by exchanging old vehicles. The company has clarified that these facilities will be applicable as per the specified terms and conditions.

The 16th Experience Center established in Surkhet is expected to further ease the access and after-sales service of electric vehicles in the Karnali region.
