As of June, the business of small non-life insurers was Rs. Over 1.19 billion, how much to whom?

Kathmandu. Micro non-life insurance companies have been able to do business of more than Rs 1.19 billion in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year.

According to the data made public by the Nepal Insurance Authority, four micro non-life insurance companies have collected Rs 1.19 billion in insurance premiums till mid-June of the current fiscal year. During this period, the companies have issued 4,55,612 policies.

Protective Micro Insurance was the top gainer in business during the review period. The company has issued 1,31,424 policies and collected Rs 34.06 crore in premiums.

Similarly, Nepal Micro Insurance Company Ltd is in the second position. The company has issued 1,10,064 policies and collected a total premium of Rs 29.73 crore till mid-May.

Star Micro Insurance has collected Rs 28.53 crore in insurance policy by issuing 125,965 policies and Trust Micro Insurance has collected Rs 27.35 crore by issuing 88,159 policies.
