Kathmandu. More than Rs 1 billion has been paid to 217 service providers associated with the health insurance programme.
As per the decision of the Health Insurance Board on May 25, the health institutions were paid Rs 1.03 billion. The amount has been sent to the bank account of the concerned health institution, according to the board.
Nabil Medical College of Morang is the highest paid hospital. The hospital has received a payment of Rs 3,79,94,000.
Similarly, Bharatpur Hospital of Chitwan is the second highest paid hospital. The hospital has received a payment of Rs 3,79,83,000.
Birat Medical College Teaching Hospital in Morang is the third highest paid hospital. The hospital has received a payment of Rs 3.33 crore.
Meanwhile, the Health Insurance Board has decided to suspend all health insurance services except emergency in private hospitals with effect from June 30.
