Kathmandu. The application for Nepali workers in Israel is open. The Department of Foreign Employment has opened the application by issuing a notice today.
As per the labour agreement signed between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Israel, applications have been opened for a total of 2,300 people to work as support workers in Israel’s long-term care centers. In the first phase, 1,000 people will be included in the employment process as soon as possible, according to the department. The remaining 1,300 will be included in the employment process as per the requirements of PIBA after the completion of the first phase process.
According to the notice, 60 per cent of the total number of workers i.e. 1,380 workers will be selected while 40 per cent of the workers i.e. 920 are men. The selected Nepalese nationals are required to work as auxiliary workers in long-term care centers in Israel for people of any age group with serious physical or mental disabilities.
The candidate should not be more than 45 years of age. As per the criteria, the height of the candidate should be at least 1.5 meters (4 feet 11 inches) and weight should be at least 45 kilograms.
The candidate should have passed at least grade 10 and should have completed at least 15 months of study in ANMI or CMA. If not, then you should have obtained at least 3 months of training related to care giving from a training provider recognized by the Government of Nepal.
Workers going to Israel will get a minimum wage of about 5,881.50 Israeli currency per month. You have to work 6 days (42 hours) per week. Overtime and annual leave will be in accordance with the Israeli government’s rules.
The workers going to Israel will have to bear the food expenses themselves, while the employer will make arrangements for the accommodation, but the workers themselves will have to bear the expenses. After that, the contract period can be extended for 5 years.
According to the department, the workers themselves will have to bear the cost of air fare, health check-up, insurance, welfare fund and orientation training. The air fare will be as per the prevailing market rates while other administrative and service charges will be as prescribed.
Interested candidates can apply online through the department’s online portal ferms.dofe.gov.np. The deadline to apply is 21 days from May 26 to 12 noon on June 23.
