Kathmandu. Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has appointed Amrit Lamsal, joint secretary at the Ministry of Finance.
Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle on Tuesday appointed Joint Secretary Lamsal as the chairman of NEPSE. He is also the spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance.
Following the formation of a single government of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the then chairman of NEPSE, Hemanta Basyal, had resigned from his post on April 28. The post of chairman of NEPSE was lying vacant after Basyal’s resignation.
The then government had appointed Basyal as the chairman of NEPSE on September 5, 2002.
