Kathmandu. Nearly two-thirds of voters say President Donald Trump’s policies are hurting the U.S. economy, according to preliminary results of a survey of voters ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.
In contrast, 28 percent believe that Trump’s policies have improved the economic situation. In contrast, only 8 percent say that the president’s policies have not had any significant impact on the economy.
During the survey, voters were also asked whether their reason for voting was to express support or oppose President Trump. 43 percent said the reason they voted was to express opposition to the president, while 41 percent said that Trump was not an important factor in his decision. Only 16 percent of voters said they voted to express support for the president.
However, these figures are preliminary and could change as more information becomes available overnight. Detailed information about the split between Republican and Democratic voters is not yet available. -Agency
